The Hydro Glide is a hydrogen powered motorcycle, made exclusively for the North American market, specifically California. With the concept of a Sceneic Route, and design inspired by the streamline and space era design movements, the Hydro Glide is the departure from conventional propulsion into a cleaner and visually striking future.

During developement stage, we explored a large variety of bodystyles, shapes and compositions.

And we were drawn and captivated by the space age design from the late 50s and the artdeco and streamline design from the 30s and 40s.

DECORATION

The display isn’t just a functional element, as it’s also a decorative element for the design.

Located in the front of the main volume of the motorcycle. It’s activated eith the fingerprint of the owner. When activated, the screen rises and welcomes the owner and transitions into the main screen, which has the battery and hydrogen level, speedometer, navigation, clock and light controls in it.

Quirks & Features

SPACE AGE INSPIRED

Several design elements and pieces drew inspiration from the Space Age design era of the 50s and 60s Americana.

The Hydro Glide features tail pods that resemble a jet afterburner, very common design feature from the mid to late 50s. And some bodyparts and pieces that resemble the hood ornaments of some of General Motors cars that were shaped like airplanes, like the foot rests and the base of the seat.
