Mazda Kureji

The Mazda Kureji is a group excercise that was used to envision what a future race car for a Metaverse. The Kureji, is the race car we created to partake in the highest class of racing for the Speedverse. The race it would compete in, was called Super Grip Racing, which would take place in space and would work with magnetic tracks that would keep the car constantly glued to the track.

LETS GO KUREJI!

Concept Developement

THE SPEEDVERSE

The Speedverse is unhinged, created exactly for unparalleled experiences that are simply unobtainable in the real world, experiences that, far off and insane as they may be, are closer and more accessible to you than you think.

Racing at it’s highest level from the harshest sandy deserts, to world class racing tracks, to even racing in the most limitless environment, space. The Speedverse is the ultimate future of racing.

Concept Development

SUPER GRIP RACE

Having the edge and always trying to be better than your fellow user is the core of healthy competition, using a system based on merit in the Speedverse.

But the highest level of racing in the Speedverse, is Super Grip Racing. A race in space, above the atmosphere, with neck breaking speeds and blinding velocity. Feeling the car as an unstoppable force, racing so fast as everything around it becomes unclear.

User Development

MEET @R1CSAN

Ricardo Sánchez (Known as R1CSAN in the Speedverse) grew up like many young people: dreaming of becoming a racing driver. From time to time, his father would take him go karting, but the Sánchez family lacked the resources to support him in his dream and, like many, Ricardo’s childhood dream seemed unfulfilled.

One day, Ricardo’s family went to the cinema in his hometown and saw a GT Academy event taking place at his local mall. Ricardo’s father immediately called him and told him to come to the mall to sign up for the GT Academy competition, his only real chance to finally achieve the dream of becoming a professional racing driver.

Ricardo now has the opportunity to further develop his talents and shine. And he has signed a contract as a NISMO athlete and earned a place as a GT-R racer in the prestigious Blancpain Endurance Series alongside some of his teammates, in Dubai.

Design Developement

DESIGNED BY KODO

Inspired by “KODO” design, feeling motion throughout the surfacing, smooth volumetrics, muscular volumes. Mazda’s design language is always identified with organic language.

The soul of motion in “KODO”. Creating a soulful design almost created by nature in nature. Focusing simple yet gravitating reflections.

Introducing

MAZDA KUREJI

The Kureji, is Mazda’s entry for the SUper Grip race. Inspired by Kodo, and designed to give the driver the feeling of sky diving. The Kureji represents the most extreme and highest class of racing the world has to offer.

FUN FACT!

Kureji is Japanese for crazy. Which was thought of to be the best fitting name for the type of vehicle, race, and world that we were envisioning this car to partake in.
